Gary Celetti assumed the role of General Counsel for IUPA Local 6021 in March. Celetti is a wealth of knowledge with a vast amount of experience. As General Counsel for IUPA Local 6021, he represents members in labor related matters such as arbitrations, collective bargaining negotiations, and administrative disciplinary investigations. Aside from his role as IUPA Local 6021’s General Counsel, Celetti is a vetted Legal Defense Fund attorney, providing representation for members being criminally investigated or criminally charged for acts committed within the scope of duty. In addition to his role as General Counsel for IUPA Local 6021, Celetti has a private practice where he serves clients in the areas of criminal defense and in civil related proceedings. Aside from his vast experience as an attorney, Celetti also served approximately 20 years as a law enforcement officer for the Lauderhill Police Department. During Celetti’s tenure at the Lauderhill Police Department, he served as a police officer, criminal investigator, sergeant, and lieutenant. Celetti retired from the Lauderhill Police Department after a very distinguished career where he earned numerous awards for his outstanding service during his tenure.
