The Broward Lieutenants Association
The leadership of I.U.P.A. Local 6021 is dedicated to the members of our association.
The Broward Lieutenants Association, Local 6021 was formed to provide representation and respond to the needs of our members around the clock, 365 days a year. By affiliating with the I.U.P.A., our members chose to enhance their legal protection with the Legal Defense Fund which has approximately $51,000,000 in reserves and protects them civilly, criminally, and administratively. The I.U.P.A. Local 6021 is run by Lieutenants currently working for the Broward Sheriff’s Office based on the idea that no one will have a more vested interest in the I.U.P.A. Local 6021 other than those currently working.
““The Members of Local 6021 work around the clock, and we protect them 24/7, that is why we are here!””

About IUPA
Members of the The Broward Lieutenants Association, Local 6021, voted to have the International Union of Police Associations, AFL-CIO, as their bargaining representative. The International Union of Police Associations is the only AFL-CIO union chartered exclusively for law enforcement and law enforcement support personnel. The I.U.P.A. consists of Locals from around the country and because of those national affiliations, the I.U.P.A. is in a unique position of strength within the labor movement. While I.U.P.A.’s officers, active and retired law enforcement officers, fight to improve the lives of their brothers and sisters in law enforcement, I.U.P.A. works to improve legislation that protects and affects public safety officers, as well as representing the needs of law enforcement officers and support personnel, whether that be for better equipment, more staff, or a fair wage.
